Or is just me that I can't PM other members?
I believe it is at the point that you cannot generate at PM to a new party. If you have an existing PM thread with someone that thread can be added to.
Never too old to have a happy childhood!

It's most likely your browser's security settings. In Chrome go into settings/security and privacy/site settings/additional content settings/insecure content
Click the [ADD] button for "allowed to show insecure content" and enter trains.com
And you should be able to start new PMs.
Just out of an abundance of caution, I wouldn't leave it that way. Just when you need it.
One special stipulation, in every members account settings is a feature to "allow PM's only from Friends"
So, If you get your browser all set up to work, and still can't PM certain members.....that's likely the roadblock
The page won't load up without freezing . I use public library computers and hotel computers. Half the screen loada for PM and then stops

Yeah, most public access computers are not going to allow you to reconfigure your settings, so you are likely between a rock and a hard place there.
Your best option is likely to get a laptop of your own, and use the library's wifi...that way you'll be able to adjust your browsers settings.
Don't pay more than half the going retail price for any specific laptop model, if you end up buying one in a pawn shop ( they often have nice ones)
I am getting a 404 Error
Isuspect that this is some kind of an on-going problem (?) It started for me around four to six weeks ago.... Tried to P.M. "greyhunds", and then "Flintlock 76" , and also "Shadow, the cat's owner" ... Forget now what it was about ....
Just some 'comments'(?) In the case OF "SHADOW'S Owner" I was curious about 'Ed Benton'.. just my own curiosity.....
The whole issue?. Might be moving the Klambake Customer Service Computer
Cus/Serv to Texas from Wisconsin?
