Well, I ain't no cat lover. Big Fast Dogs are my interest. (I like things that run on tracks.) But you have to respect a cat because it's a life created by God. So please quit joking about nailing one to the railroad tracks.

Some of the human animals that live in Chicago do that with dogs. They fight the dogs for money. If they loose money on their dog they'll tie the injured animal down on a railroad track to kill it.

This is nothing to joke about.

OK - usually my postings will make a topic die a sudden death, so I will ask -

Engine runs into cattle - RR pays farmer for loss of cattle. Who gets cattle? Rendering plant? Do they then pay the RR for the animals or does the RR pay again to haul them off?

I think over the years I've hit every type of animal out there and UP has never sent anyone out there to clean it up.
I once ran over FIVE(5) cows at once. Part of one "plugged" the train. My cornductor was pissed! He just got a new pair of work gloves! Idiot didn't know that's always bad luck.

Once I was in a group of trucks running out to CA and some one ahead of me had the fun of hitting a family of shunks he went form being on the head end so to speak to tail-end charlie. That night that group hit 8 skunks mam and her 7 little ones 2 deer and 1 elk. That was a bad night I was the one that hit the elk and I had around 8 grand in damage.

Serious point here. We had a push pull passenger train hit a cow at Polmot between Glasgow and Edinburgh, the train came off the road and from memory, 7 people died. As a result, the Rule Book states that all trains have to be advised/ cautioned through an area where cattle are reported until the Perm. Way guys have fixed the fence or rounded the cattle up and politely escorted them back into a field. Even more strange fact -  Swans in the UK are the property of the Crown, as a result you "stop the job" until our feathered friends have flown off or have removed themselves. They are also little bleeders who have a rather nasty snap on them if provoked.

But just imagine the smell of hitting a cow... and noise. Like say u hit one and then u get a breeze of dead cow in the cab while on the floor screaming cuz of the loud obnoxious noise hahaha lol
