You know you are a dyed in the wool railfan when the real reason to go to grandmom's place at the then age of 5 is to see the train The Gainsville Midland in Athens (GA) running Decapods or the Savannah and Atlanta in Newington (GA) running old Alco's and then only twice a day. Getting to see the Seaboard or the ACL as a bonus was never forgotten. Now that was a childhood[swg], or more to the point, a railfan childjhood
