West Coast Paper Mills

Looking at my Canadian Trackside guide 2000, I see there are several paper mills along the West Coast that get rail service from barges. Campbell River mill has one GMD SW900, Croftin Mill has two EMD SW1500s, Harmac Mill has a EMD SW SW900, Port Mellon mill a GMD SW900, and Powell River Mill has a GMD SW900 and a GE 65T. Is there any books written on these little industrial lines? how often do they get barge service? are the barges based out of Vancouver? and how many of them still use their locomotives? thanks for any Information

Just to let you know why I am looking for information. I am living in a basement suite and I think one of theese mills would make a nice, small shelf switching layout in HO scale
Thanks
Micheal
