I know very little about railroads but one thing has alway's confused me. When Conrail was up for sale why didn't Union Pacific or BNSF buy it? We could have had a coast to coast railroad with no interchange problems like we have today. (I could be wrong but I believe I read were interchanging in Chicago takes a whole day on a coast to coast train.) <br /> TIM A
