The guy looks "ok", but at the same time doesn't seem very comittal., He could just as easily be a Trojan horse with designs to lay low until some key point in someones time line arrives. I say this because normally, when one enters a new position of importance , they are expected to have at least a token strategy, to impress onlookers that the right man has taken the position with enthusiasm. Reading the piece you provide, the interpretation I get is he is saying "oh, it'll be a challenge" which just doesn't seem quite right. I'd compare it to asking a newlywed groom at the wedding reception "how does it feel to be married?" And have the reply come back "Ahhhh,....it'll keep me off the streets"
