Hello all.
I've been told that the CP holiday train is supposed to travel through my area on Wednesday, but I cannot confirm this. I also have an idea of the line it would take, but since I live so close to Detroit, it would only be a guess and also is not confirmed. I found this site http://www.cpr.ca/holiday-train/schedule-united-states and I see that for Wednesday the 2nd the stop is Windsor but not much else is given. Where else could I get more info. on the train route?
Thanks

It will probably simply deadhead to Chicago where it regains CPR trackage. The route would be the trackage rights that the CPR freights use. Because it is a deadhead move there will be no public information, but you might be able to guess a possible range by determining when its next engagement is in or beyond Chicago. Your best bet will be to cross the river and see it in Windsor.
It will be on NS' former wabash line.I have heard differnt times it would be in Montpelier Ohio.We are in a holiday rush at work so we won't be able to catch it.
stay safe
