1984 Trains article on the Northeast Corridor

I think it was 1984, it was a massive article on the Northeast Corridor, that included a ride along with a Metroliner engineer and a day at one of busiest towers. Whats the latest NEC article has Trains done that was that in depth?  Is the engineer shown in the 1984 article still working?

Probably Fred Frailey's March 1985 article, pg. 40

Additionally, these are a start:

  • Don Phillips, Feb. 1986, pg. 21
  • Al DiCenso, June 1991, pg. 58
  • Brian J. Cudahy, Aug. 1994, pg. 42
  • J. David Ingles, Nov. 1996, pg. 62
  • William D. Middleton, March 2003, pg. 36
  • Scott A. Hartley, July 2007, pg. 53

- Paul North.
