Does the jade green indicate it was painted in NYC days, or did PC continue to paint cars that color?
This car was built by Pullman Standard in 1971 (so it's post-NYC), and was numbered in PCB series 888749-889999. I don't know what the distinction was between PC and PCB (or PCA, for that matter) reporting marks, but--since they were built post-bankruptcy, it might have been an ownership/financial issue. The number showing on the car, CR 889030, does not appear to be its original PCB number.
