Gotta love the shot of ACL 501 and EMC 103 at Spencer this spring.  Both units built in 1939, you don't find 'em much older than that!  I'm partial to the 501 as it used to reside in the former Milwaukee Road roundhouse in Janesville, WI when it was privately owned.  One small technicality - the 501 is an E-3, not an E-6, one of three EMC built for the "Champion" streamliner (2-ACL AND 1-FEC) and delivered in the fall of 1939.
