TV alert: Tricked Out Trains

I haven't seen this kind of post too often and, unfortunately, I discovered this series 'in progress'.

Airing on the Travel Channel tonight is a series named 'Tricked Out Trains' featuring many restored railcars now in museums or in private hands. Most of the railcars fall into the 'jawdropping' category.

Several railcars of note are the Caritas owned by Iowa Pacific's High Iron Travel, the V&T McKeen Motor Car 70 at the Nevada State Railroad Museum, and the Patron Tequila Express.

I hope they air the series again soon but, as usual, program guide search engines seem limited to about two weeks in the future.

Different show then the one I got which had zephyr cars, nyc hickory creek, and a prr car that is totaly bogus on the interior and a tremendous amount of prototypical misinformation.

I am with you, MikeF90!  

    I stumbled into it last evening ( Sunday night ) watched it until about midnight.. 

    The "Commercial Interruptions" did not seem to be as obnoxious as usual, with one of these kinds of shows (2 min. of' show', and 3 min. of commercials)   .  Not only that it was really pretty interesting;

     The cars shown, and 'their stories';I'd be certain, are pretty widely known in the group that owns these private rail cars.   But to outsiders, it was fascinating to get the stories of Family involvments in the restoration projects,  the ordeals that various owners went thru to realize the resultant restorations of single cars, and in a couple of cases, whole trains of restored cars, ( The MILW cars of the friends of the 261, efforts of the Iowa Pacific, and Ed Ellis; not to mention, the gentleman that owns the 'Silver...." cars.          Even the tours of the Georgia 300, and the US Car 1- Ferdinand Magellan , at the Gold Coast RR Museum, The history of the private car of John&Mable Ringling at the Ringling Circus Museum in Sarasota,Fl.  

   Well worth looking for again; for a second look at the "Tricked Out Trains !".

     I only wish they had advertised it, in the manner some other series are promoted.
