Bi-Level Passenger Cars Through Waverly, NY
Posted by bgreen58 on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 12:56 AM

My relatives in Waverly, NY, former Southern Tier line of the EL, now NS, saw a freight train stopped in Waverly 3 to 5 days ago for whatever reason and noticed that on the rear end of the train were 3 to 5 bi-level passenger cars.  Don't know if the train was headed west to Elmira or east to Binghamton but by chance did anyone else see this train and passenger cars on the rear end to possibly tell what they were and where they may have been going?

The "T" in Boston and suburbs is getting delivary of bilevel commuter cars, for operation out of both North and South Stations.  You  might find more details on the Metropolitan Boston Transportation Authority's website.

Most likely the were NJT Bi Levels going to  or from Bombardier in Kanona for rebuilding....they are the cars NJT left in the Meadows to soak up sea water  during Sandy last year.
