Trackside Vol 214 Non-Picked Submissions
Posted by CNW 6000 on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 9:20 AM

Did anyone else submit a picture for Trackside Vol 214 that wants to share what they sent in?  Here's my "Partial CN Family Portrait" featuring a WC logo on a boxcar bracketed by a CN GP40 and an EJE SD38.

Nice.  And it shows creativity - not just a roster shot or a snapshot.

Your image is certainly better than the ones offered in the official contest.  You got my vote!

I think yours is clever and well done, too, Dan!  Had it been in the competition, I would have voted for it.

I actually enjoyed this edition of the photo contest. I can't tell you the last time I liked 75% of the submissions. Usually it is hard to like even one of them.

Dan's photo above is so clever it looks like he paid big $$$ to CN to stage the photo.

We had a cut of 4 green BN hoppers come in on the inbound train last week.  All looked good, too.  Too bad it was dark and I was working.  It's rare to see a group like that together out here.

It's been fun.  But it isn't much fun anymore.   Signing off for now.

Bruce,

I spotted the boxcar between the power that was putting it's train together.  It was a matter of timing and a bit of luck.

Thanks for the compliments folks.  This was a different theme for Trackside and it was fun thinking along those lines.

This was not submitted, although in hindsight maybe I should have.

Fallen Flags, squared.  Cool, in it's own way.

Hey Dan,

Sorry your shot didn't get picked. It is a random selection after all.

It's very cool. I dig the creativity.
