[/quote]</p> <p>An interesting question. </p> <p>The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) makes recommendations each year on how the federal government could streamline its operations and thereby reduce the cost of the federal government. One of their recommendations is to privatize a significant portion of the TVA. Will it happen? Not likely. </p> <p>Once an activity is assumed by the government, placing it in a competitive market, which is the great fear of people who don't understand the nature of competitive markets, becomes nearly impossible.</p>
