Wind Turbine Components
Posted by Fixer on Sunday, October 21, 2012 10:12 PM

I live in south western Ontario. Over the last year there have been movements (westbound) of large components used to constuct wind turbines on the CP Toronto/Windsor line. In the late summer of this year there have been several trains of turbine propellers (also westbound) on the CN London/Windsor line that runs 200 yards from my home. Theses have made for new train wathing here as this line for the last 8 or so years has been host to 8 VIA trains and the local CN Chatham/London turn. My question is : What is the origin/destination of these components? Thanks for any input.

There are multiple manufacturers of Wind Turbine equipment - both in the US and from foreign countries.  Your mileage may vary!

Never too old to have a happy childhood!
