Hello Robert, I was in the Norfolk area in 1985, and I saw the newer Chessie tugs "Chessie, and Seaboard". At that time they did not appear to be in use. But they were indeed, painted C&O blue, with yellow railings, etc. They had the Chessie cat symbol on their funnel. I can only assume that the earlier boats had the same scheme. <br />You might try to contact the mariners museum in Newport News for more info.
