Train Dispatcher(SignalCC) by Softrail...End of Life?

This was posted on the Softrail Website last month:

"We will stop selling Train Dispatcher, Track Builder and track territories after April 30, 2012. On this date we will also be limiting free support to one year after a product was purchased.

Our policy of providing free support for an unlimited time after a purchase has proven to be unrealistic."

What does this mean for the future availability of Train Dispatcher and Track Builder? Will we lose access to clearly the best dispatcher model board simulator on the Internet?

Will the hundreds of available routes no longer be offered?

Will this payware project be permanently discontinue? Why?

There are about a half-dozen users/route builders on the Web that I know about, hundreds of icons for equipment, an new Norfolk Southern North Atlanta District route about to be released that has been way updated, not to mention Track Builder is an important utility for the ATCS Monitor User Group and Model Railroaders have the capability to monitor operations with Train Dispatcher 3.5.

I wish to thank Mr. Thomas B. Levine, Mr. Frank W. Bryan and Mr. Fred W. Frailey for their combined efforts that have produced more than ten years of fun "gaming" with this unusually detailed dedicated Dispatcher software!

Sad day indeed. I had a lot of fun with this.
