Good Morning All!
Both yesterday and today I got up early to see what I could scrounge up. Yesterday was kind of dead with the exception of the arrival of the Zephyr. I decided to head down towards LoDo and see if I could do anything with it.
While I was waiting for the Zephyr to turn around so it could back into the station, I grabbed this shot of the BNSF's engine facility:

When the Zephyr did arrive, I decided to try and get some shots of the crew taking care of their tasks while the passengers did their thing. There was only one shot that I really liked. This one of the window washers performing their duties turned out pretty nicely, I think:
This morning when I got up, I noticed that the sky was almost entirely clear, except for a couple of lenticular clouds out west. I also pulled up the Moffat ATCS display and noticed that there was an Eastbound at Leyden. I scurried out the door to set up for that. While waiting for the train to arrive, I got this shot looking east:
And then my Eastbound showed up. I may have processed this a little too dark (I'm starting to think that I have the new laptop's monitor set a little too high. I've got a new monitor calibrator coming this week so hopefully I can get it dialed in a little better. Still, I really like this shot:

....You do present nice "stuff" Chris.
Really like your first shot when I put it to full screen. Unusually "clean" rail yard site with lots of space between tracks. Overall, I like it and it's early morning ambience presented.
The black and white is so nice with it's clearity in detail and tones.
The final shot, I agree with you of it being a bit dark. The pink cloud does add to it though....
And the 3rd is so serene, and crisp in sharpness. Projects a "quiet" time before activity starts for the day. Just my layman's

Those are real spiffy, Chris. My favorite is the early-morning shot with no train.
Chris, I like them all. The first shot makes me want to yawn and get the crud out of my eyes with my fists, which is what I would be doing if I were actually up that early. I also like the collection of BNSF heritage paint in the picture, especially the Cascade green that doesn't seem to get down this way very often.
If an artist were doing the last shot, I would have to think that air brush would be the only way to get that cloud image right.
Zephyr picture says, "Clean 'em good, guys. There's scenery ahead."
Sunrise and sunset are great times for pictures. Proven again.

I, too, like the shot with no trains - very interesting. The window washers evoke Link, or those depression era photos of people at work. Were it not for their garb and the "Amtrak" peaking out from behind the workers, that picture could be 60 years old.
Quality stuff, as always.

Very nicely done! In my humble opinion the exp. is just right. Has that last bit of light before an all night run look.
