TS Lee new threat of flooding
Posted by blue streak 1 on Saturday, September 3, 2011 3:51 AM

Here the US goes again. Our area is forecast to have 2 - 6" of rain. The prolonged drought here does not need this kind of soaking.

It appears at present the center of Lee is headed toward Chattanooga with possibly 12" +  of rain. This flooding potential thru the mountains may make Irene's flooding look tame in comparsion. Lee's flooding track hopefully will not wash out tracks here in the south like earlier hurricanes have. There are too many mountains here that may squeeze out buckets of rain?

At least Lee should dump enough water on the N.O. area to extinguish the swamp fire that has been smoking up the area for the past week.

Never too old to have a happy childhood!

That tropical storm's name is ironic. It would be even more ironic if it was tropical storm Sherman.
