You also have to keep in mind that europe and the norht america are on two totally different pages. Though I support passenger railtravel, europe in comarison is much more densly populated than north america as a whole. We are better of to compare europe to the upper east coast of north america than all of north america as a whole. There's just too much empty space out there to say that we should be at the same level if not higher than the europeans when it comes to railway infastructure. My [2c]
