Tracking Trains
Posted by TWG on Thursday, September 9, 2010 2:38 PM

I thought I read in Trains magazine of a way to track trains using the internet in certain areas of the country. I am particularly interested in the Los Angeles area and heading towards San Francisco. I can't find the magazine that was talking about it and was wondering if someone could help me find the information. Thank you.

I'm guessing you're thinking of the ATCS Monitor Yahoo Group. If that is what you meant, you'll need to join the group and be pretty good with a computer.

Thank you very much for the answer.

Do you think a Droid Incredible smartphone is enough of a computer to handle things?

No, you need to be able to run under Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7. So you would need at least a laptop.
