Learning as I presently am trying to do, I am still perplexed by the section of The Railroad Press (TRP) magazine entitled "Ken Ardinger's Locomotive Notes II." What information does this convey? I cannot find any explanation within the magazine, nor within the section itself, explaining what it is all about, nor definitions of the many abbreviations. I suppose the information therein is valuable, but why and to whom? Thanks for your kind responses.
Any given issue may contain nothing of interest to you, or might hold a valuable nugget. Not everyone follows motive power movements, etc, but, f'rinstance, I'll check the shortline section to see if there's anything about the lines I know about, and do about the same with the historical section.

Thank you "tree68" for your kind and prompt reply. Am I to understand that the subject list is of every known (USA) locomotive, living or "dead," active or museum piece, in-service or out-of-service? Wow!
