Neil, <br /> The NECR SD-40's (the ones I've seen) are old ConRail units. They are still blue and you can still see the raised paint of the ConRail lettering through the blue. They have been stencilled (roughly) w/ NECR and road numbers in white. Incidentally, one of these units was involved in the washout/wreck in Westminster, Vt. about three weeks ago. It recieved significant body and fuel tank damage (the tank was impaled clean through by an upturned rail) but did not look to be totalled.
