Yes, private enterprise was there, but they wanted the state to to condemn the land and pay for the real estate. Private companies cannot force people to sell, only governments can......The main reason why it must be a government that builds high speed rail..... <br /> <br />But as Paul Harvey has said many, many times, you know the rest of the story.
