Blizzard alert Part 6
Posted by blue streak 1 on Thursday, February 11, 2010 10:00 PM

Part 6? 5? 7?  Oh what the heck I lost count.

Anyway here it comes again -- not a blizzard but 3 - 6 inches south of Atlanta. Now that does not sound like much but with the lack of snow plows and salt trucks south of Atlanta it will be one massive bumper cars. If the state of Ga  moves the trucks south they will run out of salt rapidly because there has not been a requirement for it south of I-20. Ga has 10 - 15 dump trucks with plows and sand/salt dispensers. So you can see the problem. We are hunkering down here at home and will not go out except for a dire emergency.

South Alabama (LA - lower Al) is also getting this snow actually comes all the way from Dallas Tx. Al snow plows all based in Huntsville.

The other problem we will have is the melting of snow then a hard freeze predicted so black ice every where. Don't drive down I-75, I - 85, or I-95 until you have checked.

Edit: Now snow is going to be north of Atlanta also.

Keep it out of the Mid-Atlantic states....my snow shovel is worn out!

Never too old to have a happy childhood!
