hear about that XXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXX XXXX  XXXXXXXXX that wants to buy the Rohr Turbo trains to start a commuter service for  XXXXXXXXXX only?  He's going to compete with amtrak b/t albany and Grand Central STATION.

 how's that?

PS. GE's suck.

Edited by Murphy Siding, for the benefit of our XXXXXXXXX  XXXXXXXXXXX XXXXX XXXXXXXXXX and XXXXXXXXX  who may be reading this.

Sorry zugmann  The [CENSORED] made me do it.

C'mon now, don't get into religions unless you want to start a philosophical discussion on free will and the [CENSORED].

How ironic. Laugh  I was actually thinking of Flip Wilson.

So what you are saying is no one is allowed to be funny here, or only certain people are allowed to be funny, or you are not allowed to be funny?

If so, this would be the first forum I have ever visited where funny was not allowed, well, except for my brother in laws mortuary owners forum.

Talk about a bunch of people really lacking a sense of humor.

I looked at the Flat wheel Diner and the other coffee pot Lounge thing, and didn't see any problem with either one, most of the forums I have belonged to have something like them, (expect my brother in law's)sort of chat threads, I guess.

So, yes, the irony is lost on me.

Personally, I thought this thread rather humorous, and because my wife is a cat breeder and belongs to a few cat breeders forums, I knew what the symbol meant.

I was wondering why she, (I assume Mookie is female from the gender references) was only listening instead of participating.

I think I know now.

Sorry to have been a bother.

That was not what I said at all. Have you been in this forum the past few weeks?  The padlocks were being tossed around like candy at a parade.  Anytime a thread even ventured off topics (sometimes into politics, sometimes into trucking, of all things) the thread was quickly locked.  While this thread may be some sort of funny, it is still off-topic.  It has about as much to do with trains as the trucking thread that was locked.  It's the moderator's call what to lock.  and there is no way for them to be 100% fair and balanced and I accept that.  But maybe 75% fair?  70 on a bad day?

Do we really want a forum full of off-topic posts?  We have the lounge and diner threads.  Off-topic  stuff can go in there.  This is a TRAINS forum.  It was stated before that topics have to be RR-related.  so how about we follow that idea?

It's been fun.  But it isn't much fun anymore.   Signing off for now.

It wasn't a hot topic until perfectly valid threads (<-- my opinion, worth nothing in real life) were being locked for being "off-topic".  This thread is about as off-topic as anything.  Yet, nary a word is said.  So, a thread eventures into trucking, union, or political matters it is verboten.  But a thread that contains nothing but nonsense is allowed because someone thinks it's cute.

That how it works?  I'm confused.

It's been fun.  But it isn't much fun anymore.   Signing off for now.

Alrighty, then.  I believe we've all had a chance to express our opinions about punctuation, and several other issues.  As proof, that you can't please all the people all the time, I'm going to drop the curtain on today's episodes of How the punctuation turns.  Please join us in some of the railroad related topics also found on our forums.  Thanks you.
