When those chunks of air are as hot as they can be, they shoot fuel into them.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>With too cold of a surrounding temperature, they cannot get their chunks of air hot enough to ignite the fuel.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>So operators keep spinning them, so that even though each squeeze fails to raise the temperature high enough to ignite the fuel, the heat adds to the surrounding heat in the cylinders.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>As the cylinders warm up, the maximum squeeze temperature rises.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Eventually it rises high enough to ignite the fuel and sustain ignition.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN></SPAN></P>
