In 2001 I was living in Volga, South Dakota when the whole town, population 12-1500 had to be evacuated for 3 days because a massive underground propane leak.
NO ONE sued. I don't even remember hearing anyone JOKE about it. The evac was on Monday, we were home on Thursday and on Saturday there was a place where you could go to get reimbursed for your expenses.
