Milwaukee Road / Soo Line  -  Branch line in Chicago

I ride the Chicago's Metra between Elgin and CUS. Between Mars and Galewood there appears to be a branchline that heads north.  Are there any Milwaukee Road or Soo Line fans that are familiar with this branch?  If so, I am just curious what it's called and where it goes?  I assume there were some industries there (way back when).

 Appreciate it.

That would be the Dunning Line. Comes off the main at about MP 8.8. If I remember correctly, this used to extend a fair distance north but is now just a short stub after it crosses the street (Grand?)
