I was wondering if BNSF still operates frieght trains into Vancouver B.C. Is it still once a day from Everett, Washington? What does BNSF haul between the two cities?
BNSF pulled out of Vancouver earlier this year. Those operations have now been taken over by Southern Rail. BNSF still operates into the Sapperton Yard (New Westminster).

BNSF still runs into Vancouver to interchange with us(CN).
Their runs into Vancouver for the interchange is on trackage rights with CN.
Sapperton/NewWest is their own ''end of track'' so to speak....
IMO, there are at least 3 moves in each direction from/to the area , usually terminating/originating Everett.
cheers

The tracks into Vancouver are BNSF but leased to CN. In the past it was CN using trackage rights on BNSF to get to Vancouver and North Vancouver.
Please correct me if I am wrong. My info might be slightly dated.
BNSF runs into Vancouver and hosts the Amtrak trains as far as Vancouver Jct.. BNSF also runs from Townsend to Tilbury Dock. CN has trackage rights on that line. BNSF runs to Roberts Bank Deltaport, on CN (& CPR?) rails. The line, into the city, is joint with CN, out to CN's Waterfront Yard. These BC lines are serviced by BNSF from Seattle, etc.. BNSF interchanges with CPR at Sumas, WA/Huntingdon, BC. I don't know if it (CP) connects with SRY (Southern Railway of BC, a Montana Rail Link [MRL] affiliate), but the SRY gets into Vancouver. Kind'a confusing....

Station name CN Junction, yes.

CN does, but they no longer run to Tilbury, all Tilbury traffic is hauled into Vancouver and interchanged with BNSF. CP also has trackage rights as Tilbury is their connection with the Southern Railway of Vancouver Island(ex-E&N) via Seaspan barge.

BNSF uses their line to Colebrook where it connects with the BC Rail Port Sub.
The line, into the city, is joint with CN, out to CN's Waterfront Yard.
It's leased to CN from the approach to the Fraser River Bridge to CN Junction. CN is responsible for maintenance and dispatching over this stretch. South of the Fraser River Bridge is BNSF only.

SRY, CN, CP, and BNSF all interchange with eachother at the New Westminster dockyard. Near the Westminster Quay. SRY is now switching BNSF's barge slip on the waterfront downtown Vancouver. SRY has running rights on the New Westminster Sub between Brunette and CN Junction.
