But most of the gunplay in the US is directly or indirectly connected to the drug trade...fighting for turf; getting even with some one; or an addict needing cash for his hit. And it's funny, but thirty-odd states have enacted "right to carry" laws, making the criminal's job much more dangerous. The gun fascists told us it would be "Dodge City"; blood in the streets, etc. Did it happen? If that's the way it shook out, they'd be screaming at the top of their hissy-fits. But there's no sound at all. Why's that? Because violent crime and most types of crime went down after these laws were enacted; the reason being that the criminal doesn't know who is armed and who isn't. The criminal doesn't want to work hard, but he also doesn't want to get blown away by some little old lady. The end result is less crime. Now I'm in agreement...let's get back to trains!
