The location is Colton, California, on Union Pacific's Sunset Route. The overpass on the left is Mt. Vernon Ave. by I-10.

It's a photo stitching problem. I've done countless photo panoramas (stiching together multiple photos to make one wide one) and have seen what can happen if you're not paying attention.
