But why? If NEC is so vital as earlier stated, ought it not continue? <br /> <br />Don't get me wrong... Cascades Corridor service is attractive and appealing, and I will be sorry I never got a chance to go to Seattle on board. <br /> <br />And I don't want the EB to stop either. But if that is what is necessary to keep Amtrak going in NEC so we don't end up with some kind of half-baked commuter crises, so be it. <br /> <br />Then maybe we'll have bought enough time for some debate on the Senate floor. Ok, maybe that isn't a good thing, on second thought... <g>
