Let's get TOTALLY outrageous here for a minute. <br />Let's say we had a fleet of Trans-Atlantic car-ferries. Any of the previously mentioned trans-cons, could construct a harbor, perhaps Norfolk, and with a link to Europe, the only thing holding-up a "Trans-World" railway, would be constructing a "Florida-East-Coast Key West Extension-Type" causeway/bridge across the Aleution Islands. Also, some new trackage would be needed to connect the Alaska R.R. to CP, or CN. <br />Now THAT'S a "Mega-Merger"! <br />Todd C.
