Dunno.  I like the second shot better for some reason.  The color seems richer, the picture feels "warmer".  Artistic privilege of the editor is all I can guess. Don't lose sleep over it, just practice to take the pictures you want to take for the reasons you take them.

Color on both seem too warm.  But it looks like you removed some wires? May I ask, why? (if you did, that is...)

It's been fun.  But it isn't much fun anymore.   Signing off for now.

That's worth a good laugh, they must not have noticed the wires in the accepted one, but they probably noticed the little streak of the wrong shade of blue that you cloned in...

That is good for a laugh, and seems to point out the inconsistency of their "jury" process.  Even with the wrong shade of blue, the rejected shot is a dang sight better than the incomplete edit that they accepted.  The richness of the color is a minor consideration, in my mind, although it may be a major factor to them.

I would suggest that you submit pictures several times, over the course of a period of time.  It's possible you'll get different screeners and might sneak a few more in...

You could bring there 'error' to their attention, but then they'd probably yank that one, too.

Apparently they deleted it without telling me.
