That was really neat! My only issue was that it took too short to build. Such an operation would probably really have taken over a year to set up. <br /> <br />Just out of curiosity, is American Samoa exactly on the other side of the world from Montreal; that is, if you dug a tunnel straight down from Montreal, would you actually come up in American Samoa? I once read one of those "unexplained phenomena" books about the Bermuda Triangle, and it said that some people reported seeing strange lights in the sky at the equivalent latitude in the Southern Hemisphere of the atomic blasts on Japan, as well as some of the American and Soviet nuclear tests of the '50s and '60s. <br /> <br />I could also sympathize quite a bit with the character in this story, since I have sort of an email "girlfriend" from Australia (I'm from Southern California). We've been sending email off and on for about a year and a half now after I read a story of hers on Fanfiction.net. Although I haven't heard from her for a while. But she has given me her address, and I hers, and I recently sent her a present for Valentine's Day.
