C&O Passenger Train - Cleveland to Cincinnati

Back in 1953, 54, or 55 (I don't remember) I rode on the C&O between Cleveland and Columbus on a "special" train.  C&O was inaugurating service between Cleveland and Cincy. The train had a special blue and yellow paint job.  I believe the engine even made the cover of Popluar Science but I can't be sure.  It was a big deal at the time.  I don't think it lasted very long , but I never hear about it and no one else I know remembers it.  I was only 10 or 12 years old at the time but do remember it was a fancy train inside and out.  Much more "modern" than the NYC or PRR or MoPac passenger trains I had ridden on.  Does anybody else have such a recollection?

It had to be some sort of special, because, in spite of Cleveland being C&O's headquarters city, it had no lines of its own leading there.

I'm wondering whether there was an incarnation of Robert R. Young's "Train X" making a publicity run.

It was the New York Central's "Xplorer" train. It was a futuristic lightweight train, but was not successful.
