Yes, the CTA does a good job of serving both Chicago ball parks, and--as least as of today--there's a chance that all of the World Series could be played here.
I guess, from what I've understood, LA has a similar opportunity this year. Don't think their transit system is as effective, though.

And you can get from Wrigley Field to Comiskey Park (who would want to?) on the Red Line without having to change trains!!
