1 Dead at MSTL crossing

Interesting how this incredibly short story says the motorcyclist tried to stop but was pushed into the train?  This happened on the former CMO MSTL.

My apologies for the error - the CMO (UP) runs just west of Jordan.  The old M&StL appears to be operated now by Montgomery Short Line LLC, a subsidiary of Progressive Rail (they project ~4000 cars to be handled over the line between Merriam and Montgomery, MN this year).

I saw photos from the scene.  It looks like he laid the bike down and slid.  Unfortunately, he was IN FRONT of the motorcycle (and couldn't separate from it).  The inertia of the sliding bike shoved him under the wheels of the train.

You should see what an SD70ACe does to a dead fish!

I updated the original post - former MSTL, not CMO.
