Tom
I agree. NAFTA in theory is good. Most (90%) of our manufacturing jobs are being lost to China. Mexico is our number two trading partner in the world. So it benefits us to help Mexico, not China.
One of the main reasons for our manufacturing jobs leaving is the over regulation by the EPA and other restrictions. The other is the labor unions, it is a fact.
The reason our politicians will not support Amtrak is that it has lost so much money for so long. I think it needs to be put on the market for competative bid and restart as a privately run enterprise and hopefully receive the governments assistance to get it going and to make it healthy.
What my office does is to work on projects that provide economic development and gains for our border communities and we do also promote all of North America which does include Mexico.
I appreciate your opinions. Thank you.
Sincerely
Richard
