For those of you who will be taking a trip to Rochelle, IL, just 15 miles east is De Kalb. There, right on rt. 38 there is an Econolodge or something like that. The rooms are great price, and over look UP's double track main through Rochelle. Tell the desk clerk you want a room to whatch trains. NO grade crossings near by!
