I did a little rail snooping around the yard of the CN here in Fond Du Lac, Wi,and boy did I see some neat and interesting units. On the RIP track was WC/ex CNW GP7 / 9 # 4133,in its green and yellow paint sheme, with the FRVR railroad logo on the side of the cab, and shes been completely parted out. For a while (4-5 months), I am thinking that it was in the shops to salvage usable parts from the locomotive. It was not seen on the RIP track,as it was on freight car trucks, but now it has the 4 axle trucks that the unit is suppose to have. Also sitting with this unit is WC GP's #1503,1505,1506,1507, & 1508.Apparently these units are all dead.Disposition is unknown, though units 1508 and 1503 are sitting behind the ex CNW unit. On the South side of the yard was NS SD60 # 6596 in the new NS logo, along with NS D9-40CW # 8994. By the ex CNW roundhouse is CN M.O.W OHIO crane X-21 # 503000. This week WC unit GP40 3026 has been seen doing switching chores on the South part of the yard. This locomotive has the State of Wisconsin map on it.Unknown as to where it went.Did not see it working this Saturday.
