The C & EI was once a part of the Frisco System. During the Depression of 1913 the C & EI and other parts of the system were separated from the Frisco. The Rock Island and Frisco were also in a partership of some sort and were also separated during this time. General B. F. Yoakum had been in charge of the Frisco and had doubled its size but after this Depression much of the system was taken away from the Frisco and Yoakum was replaced by W. C. Nixon. [:(]
