The Spanish built Talgo cars were taken out of service on August 3 due to the discovery of cracks in the suspension system. Amtrak has pulled cars from other services to cover the equipment needs, however scheduled running times had to be lengthened as the tilt system on the Talgo cars allowed faster track speeds on curves. Other amenities on the service will not be available. I haven't read anything further, but I assume repairs will be made to the Talgo cars.
