Great guess but not correct. Waiting for Brian's guess. Oh, that's a clue right there.

Based on prior clues relative to your whereabouts, I'm going to guess Boone, IA.

Ahhhhhhhhh. The storm took out my modem last night. We have some very good guesses. The mural is located in Iowa, not at a train station, but yes, at the entrance to the men's bathroom. This may be part of a recent remodeling. I am sure a forum member has seen it.

I and my wife, respectively, say no to that one!

Not familiar with it, but I'm betting on Boone, too.

Is George responsible?  Maybee not!

No
I think the artist could keep busy with all the great locations suggested so far.

If you're referring to me, you're mistaken.  I certainly would've remembered seeing that.  I could take a wild guess, though, although I haven't been there yet- the Cedar Rapids History Center.  They recently added a railroading exhibition which I've been wanting to stop in and check out.

Well, I want Bill to get some sleep tonight. The rest stop is on E/B I-80 between Iowa City and Davenport at about mile 270. I don't know about the W/B side. I'm sure Brian that you usually take US30, just like I do to see more trains.
I wonder if the wall tiles are sold commercially with the pattern in them. If so, what a great pic for the train room.
Thanks for all your great responses. I enjoyed sharing the pic with everyone.

A CNW mural in RI territory?  Oh the shame, the shame.

Jeff Big Smile [:D]

(Would that be the one near the Wilton, IA exit?  Haven't been that way for a while. Used to have a friend who lived near that exit.  He was the last agent at Durant, Iowa for the RI/DRI Line/MILW.)

Well I'll be Censored [censored].

Sometimes we do take that route, when we're in a hurry.  Usually, though, if we have to make a rest stop in that area, we'll stop in the vicinity of the I-80 Truck Stop (largest in the world).

Last month was the first time we have stopped there in a few years. The Wilton exit is just past the rest stop. Barbara dislikes I-80 because all the big trucks scare her. Seems like every week one is involved in a wreck up there.

Brian, that truck stop is so big it has its own vicinity?

(Been to the truck stop--thanks to Bob we now have something to check out en route to the next Mookie-fest, Willy-fest, or Mud-wallow.)
