Troop movement

Was that a west bound troop movement that went through Rochelle at 8:32 pm tonight on the UP?
Sure looked like a trainload of military equipment on the recent images web site.

Yep - looks like a troop movement to me, too.
You can see some unusual trains going thru Rochelle from time to time!
Anyone have any "military intelligence" on this ??

A trainload of military equipment would not be a troop movement. I would hope we still move troops in passenger cars, not as freight! Now is the time of year that many national guard units train, and equipment is moved to the training grounds so the Transportation Corps units can get their training too.
