    1. Is it possible to have the "EMAIL ME REPLIES TO THIS POST" check box un-checked as the default rather than the other way around?  I prefer not have reply notices sent to my e-mail address if I forget to un-check the box.  There also doesn't appear to be a way to change that in edit mode once you've posted.

    Holy Batman !

I have about 6,567,894 replies in my personal email box.  Now I see what you mean, Tom.

Turn that stupid "Email me replies to this post" thing off.

    Hi Rich!

    Testing..1,2,3..3,21.

    Let's see then.

It seems the default setting is now to "EMAIL ME REPLIES TO THIS POST". If you go to  your profile, you can unclick this setting.

  • They've changed the format on us before, and we all pretty much adapted. Let's give it a chance to relearn some things and give it a chance before gathering up the pitchforks, torches and starting the vats of oil boiling. Personally, I like the larger type; it's easier on these old folks' eyes.

How do you quote others as you reply?

    Rich

If you click on reply, a new window opens up. If you click on "use rich formatting", it opens another window with the quote selection in it.

  • I sure liked the 50 posts per page that we had before.  Now there is way too few to see at a glance.

  • New format sucks. Too much blank space on screen requiring me to page down to see anything.

  • I have gotten a hold of IT Support and the one thing they are suggesting we try to cut down on the massive amounts of email notification is to go the the Email Notifications section and lick "Remove" on each of the forums listed.

I am hoping they can do this for us all in bulk...

  • My stepson was a IT type for some years and he chuckled over this issue. He said, techies really don;t care what users think. This is what they give you. The techies don't normally use the software anyway. If they do, they know what to do. Deal with it is the techies motto.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.

  • There are some issues. I like the look, though, although functionality remains to be determined...

One thing I missed right away is the lack of ability to jump to anything but page one direct from the post list. That's going to drive the folks that like to hang out at the cafe nuts, when they have to always go to page 1 before jumping to page 53 or whatever...

  • Hey a mobile version! Now I can post from my phone, which previously was impossible. And it's formatted better, page layout-wise.
  • Your not in Kansas anymore.

Yeah, when you get comfortable with something the IT guys gotta upset the apple cart.  You know how it is with us old farts - change is a PITA.  My work computer gets upgraded to Window 7 tomorrow - grrrr....

What happened to the username's location?  Like "Denver, CO. Please enable this back, with post count and join date.

Found the "Location" that but in a non obvious place.  Click on your/my avatar and scroll down looking on the Right Side for the "About" section box

Yes I saw that. I was talking about the way it showed up before. Along with Post Count, Join Date, Location.

And could they please have the Username and this info stated, listed on the left? Like every other forum on the internet? I've never even seen or used a forum, where the Usernames are in the middle of each post.

  • How do you delete a post?

How do you edit a post?

  • OK this is not that great, I prefered the denser topics listings, l now have to scroll and scroll and scroll just to readd whatever is in the forum topics listing, it was easier before to read a bunch and see what I was interested in

Other than that Meh, I'm not surprised, techies always jerk you around when they change things, this is the exact same format now on the Finescale Modeler website, and the end result of those changes was me posting even less. I thought when changes were made is was for the better, not just changes for changes sake or this new Bang Pow format is sooo superior, its often soooo much more confusing also. We'll grunt grumblegnash our teeth but we'll figure it out.

    Let see

    Pics work OK

    Mischief smilies OK

    I think I'll survivePirate
