What happened to the forum policy link that used to be accessible on every MRR forum?

Time...It marches on...without ever turning around to see if anyone is even keeping in step.
I just noticed that when posting I am shown as having a 'single badge' and am given credit for 20+ posts. When accessing my profie and searching my activity there I am credited with 4628+ posts.
What is going on?

overlandflyer overlandflyer just curious about the discrepancy between the number of posts i have made (191) and the number of posts it lists as a result of hovering the cursor over my one star (71). i do see a slight difference in some users, but usually on the order of 3-5, not 120. thanks...gary hello? anyone reading this string anymore?

Don't know if anyone's looking anymore, but this post count issue is really starting to bug me.
Not only are the medals too cheap (you get two silver medals for a mere 76 posts, and 5 gold for anything over 3000?!?), but mine are gone. And I have (or should have) something like 2500 posts.
Would also like to see location and date joined return to the avatar, but that's minor.

OK, I figured that one out, 10 pages into my private messages all the older ones were showing as not read - why?
Next question - WHY is there no page count on the list of posts that would allow you to click directly on the last page?
Just on the off chance someone reading this would like to see an example of an easy to read, easy to use forum, check out this link:

I'm wondering why, when I get an e-mail notification of a new post in a thread to which I'm subscribed, I'm taken only to the page on which it appears within the discussion, not directly to that post. This seems to be a fairly recent development, and was working properly after the latest format was introduced.
Other glitches include not getting e-mail notifications of private messages, even though I've enabled that option - every time I check, it's been disabled again.
Likewise for the option to not view signatures - even the witty ones become tired after being seen for a couple of times. I've opted to not see them, but they continue to plague me, and that setting seems to have reset itself whenever I check.
Thanks,
Wayne
When using spell check and no misspellings are found the screen has a Okay to click and when I do the whole pace and all text is wiped clean and a this tab has been recovered note is shown. WHY???

Forum specific search? At one time it was possible to search within a specific forum for a keyword set. Instead now the user gets results from all forums, sometimes returning 2000+ results. Robust perhaps, but useless with large unfocused result sets. The search feature really needs to be re-examined and options provided that can limit the results in some useful fashion such a limiting the search to forum ABC, by date ranges and so on.

I'm curious how does one now edit a forum 'signature'

Yep - I can do this:
Old: cs.trains.com/ctt/f195/p/208685/2294181.aspx New: cs.trains.com/ctt/f/95/t/208685.aspx
and get directly to the Coffee Pot thread of the CTT forum, if that was what you tried to reach? So it ought to be possible to make a UR rewrite rule on Kalmbach's web server to handle such stuff automatically.

Yeah your link takes me right to the Coffee pot but I still get the same error message if I try to log in from there.. it seems the only place I can log in without the error is from the main home page.

I tried to do a search for "Your Discussions" before posting my previous post. The search returned over 1100 posts. There used to be a feature called Narrow Your Search in the previous forum where I could put quotes around the words to get an exact match of the phrase. That appears to be missing on the new forum.
I would also like to see a thread explains the new forum and how to use the new features.
Earl
I selected the 'Your Discussions' tab and then clicked on one of the threads. I then clicked the 'Reply' button, entered the text, and clicked 'Post'. Everything appeared to work normally, but the reply was never shown when I returned to the thread.
