Never too old to have a happy childhood!
Part of what is taking so long to navigate through the website are those pan photo headers.
The panoramic photographic headers should be loaded last, because they are slowing down everything compared to the previous website.

Reloading the entire screen makes it difficult to quickly jump from forum to forum.
Sometimes the trains.com website connection is lost moving from one area in the forum to another area in the forum.
The new graphic features that are always refreshed are stalling out the websites performance.
HELP.
