Greetings all...
I am interested in building a layout that has a circus 'town' at one end, and a 'circus show' at the other. I'm looking at around the 1950 - 1960 time period, as a starting point.
The problem I am having is that I can't find info about these 'circus towns'... I'm looking for how the 'towns' and the trains were laid out so as to make it easy for the trains to be loaded.
I've searched a few circus web sites but am not finding anything on them, and I've searched here a little bit but am not finding what I'm looking for.
Does anyone have any ideas on where I can look for this info? I could probably wing it but am looking to be fairly realistic.
Thanks in advance... have a great day :)

Baraboo, Wi 1959- USGS 15min maps from: http://www.usgs.gov/
I tried to sell my two cents worth, but no one would give me a plug nickel for it.
I don't have a leg to stand on.
Greetings...
I am so sorry for not getting back to say Thank You. I just now checked to see if there was a reply :( Too much stuff happened this year.
I went to the USGS site, but don't know how to pull up older maps. May I ask how you did it? I see the current map, but no options for older.
Thank you for the info... I really appreciate it.
Merry Christmas :)
Go to http://www.usgs.gov/
Click on button upper left "Maps, Imagery and Publications"
Under Maps click "Download Historical Topographic Maps"
Under Find My Map Click "Historical Topographic Map Collection Search" This search is by Map Name which can make things a little difficult.
Alternative from same page (easier if you don't know map name)
Click on "USGS Store: Map Locater and Downloader" This will bring up an interactive map on which you can mark the location you want and bring up list.
